Onshore Eastern SiberiaZapadno-Yaraktinsky, Bolshetursky

ITOCHU Corporation and INPEX CORPORATION acquired the share of Japan South Sakha Oil Co., Ltd (JASSOC) from JOGMEC in 2013. JASSOC has been promoting oil and gas exploration projects in Zapadono-Yaraktinsky (ZY) and Bolshetirsky (BT) blocks in Eastern Siberia of the Russian Republic.

Prior to the participation of ITOCHU and INPEX, INK Zapad, a joint venture between JASSOC and a Russian oil company, Irkutsk Oil Company LLC, carried out exploration work and confirmed oil and gas accumulation.

Through the continuous exploration such as 2D and 3D seismic acquisition and significant exploration drilling, INK-Zapad commenced the pilot production in 2015 from Ichyodinskoye oil field discovered in 2012, located in ZY block.

ITOCHU, INPEX and JOGMEC, through JASSOC will continue exploration in both blocks and look forward to the possibilities of development of the blocks for commercial production.
